  19. Meals at McDonald's. Others, particularly media darlings with
  20. good agents, can do a bit better. Coming soon: newly freed
  21. murderer/author JEAN HARRIS to the masthead of Lear's magazine,
  22. the swank life-style manual for the fiftysomething set. As a
  23. contributing editor, she'll write about poverty, prison reform
  24. and other social issues, "subjects of great interest to our
  25. readers," says senior editor David France. Thankfully, Harris
  26. won't be doling out advice to the lovelorn.
